The Club is very welcoming, enjoys a very busy competition and social schedule along with an enviable match schedule with other Clubs. Friendly games and competitions are also played between the member sections, including juniors and our Artisans.
We do not book tee times and ensure that course access for our members is a top priority. Whilst many Clubs can experience difficulties in balancing the needs of 5 and 7 days memberships - this is not an issue at SLGC and weekend golf is always available.
- Members enjoy 10% discount on all food in the Club, on a voucher system.
- Members enjoy discounted guest green fees and from time to time guest vouchers.
- New members can avail themselves of the Premium Credit Scheme for subs payments (subject to acceptance by Premium Credit).
- New members who do not have a Club sponsor are appointed a 'buddy' for their first three months at the Club.
- Juniors are very welcome and there is no joining fee for Junior's throughout 2010 or 2011!
- Fast track membership for those with single figure handicaps.

Additional immediate family members (or partners) receive a discount of 25% of the above subscriptions provided that one family member pays the full adult fee.

Applications are by one of the following methods:
1) Introduction by SLGC Members (Proposer and seconded)
2) Membership is also possible for those who may not have personal sponsors within the current membership. In first instance - please contact Simon on 01344 620507 and discuss your requirements.
3) Juniors may be introduced by fellow juniors, parents, coaches or teachers and in first instance must meet with our Junior Section organisers - Janet and Peter.
We also offer a fast track system for membership to single figure golfers.

Candidates who are Members of other Clubs must supply proof of Handicap together with a written reference from an Official of that club.
All candidates must, prior to their interview for Membership, play one round of Golf with a Member of the Committee or a Past Captain of the Club.
