Appointment of Club Manager
Members would wish to know that Mr Simon Sheppard has been appointed as the Club Manager.

Simon has of course been with us for some time and is well known to many members already.

Simon’s background is that of a career Naval Officer followed by 14 years of Golf Club Management.  He has worked at Shek O Country Club in Hong Kong and at Effingham and West Surrey Golf Clubs in Surrey.  He has been active in the Golf Club Managers’ Association and is the immediate past representative of the London and Home Counties Region on the National Committee of that organisation.

He lives with his partner Sue and their two cats just outside Petersfield in Hampshire, and enjoys Cricket, Golf and Gardening.  He is a playing member of the MCC and enjoys his golf at Liphook Golf Club.

We welcome Simon to the Club and wish him every success with his new venture.

Wee Wonders at Sunningdale
The Team at SLGC are pleased to confirm that we will certainly wish to support this event again in 2011, congratulate all those who competed in 2009 and look forward to seeing you back at SLGC soon.
 
SLGC is delighted to confirm that will it be hosting the Wee Wonders again in 2011 .  More details to follow.

Lastly, following on from the excellent feedback from our many Junior visitors in 2009, we have reviewed the Sunningdale Ladies Junior Open event for 2010 and confirm that it will take place on Sunday 18 April and not only feature a Junior medal in the morning but an adult and junior betterball in the afternoon.  Click on Opens, Events & Invites and download an entry form.

We look forward to welcoming all juniors in 2010 and to continue with the excellent developments for our Junior section commenced in 2009.
